A capillary or expansion valves are next to condensers followed by medium temperature evaporators. Electrical energy supplied to the compressor can be measured by energy meter.

Technical Description:

The set up demonstrates the students about the basic principal of a refrigeration cycle. The test rig is designed for the study of thermodynamics of vapour Compression refrigeration cycle by way of demonstration and experimentation. It has a facility to measure various parameters for experimentation.

To Study the Vapour Compression refrigerator system.

To Calculate Co-efficient of performance.

Required for Operation:

Electric supply: Single phase, 220 V AC, 50 Hz, 5-15 amp combined socket with earth connection. Earth voltage should be less than 5 volts.

Water supply: 2LPM@1bar

Floor drain required.
